Hearing the call of the Grandmaster, Tephrael was next to arrive. The angelihund blinked as he listened to the dragon rattle off the assignments for each group. After Isaias offered, the gray-hued creature lifted his head and added, "I would like to be assigned to a group as well, Grandmaster."

His tail twitched from side to side in anticipation. He had not been out of Sanctum for years, but despite that, he wanted to see how he could help with the spread of Light across the land.

He took his duties seriously, for serving well was a sign of goodness, as was spreading the Light to these foreign lands. Flying had once been a struggle to him as he sought to maneuver with two missing wings, but the angelihund managed until he could fly as well with four as he had with six. He was flying on those four wings right now as he circled down to land at the borders of the group who called itself LithiumClan. There was so many of these Clans around--Tephrael could not keep track of them all, but he made it to keep track of this one, for it was his assigned group.

The creature blinked pale eyes as he glanced around, folding his wings against his side so that it hid the unsightly dark marks where his lost wings had once been attached.

Tephrael's ear twitched as he spotted the domestic feline. They seemed polite enough--not like what he had thought of them previously. Namely, ignorant savage little things squabbling in their petty feuds, in need of the Light to save them from the Darkness. "Greetings. My name is Tephrael and I am a citizen of the Sanctum," he began smoothly. "I would like to give your Clan a message."

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
An ear twitched slightly as he regarded the LithiumClanner, wondering why she was arrogant enough to think that the message was for her specifically when he had said it was for the Clan. It was another sign that the inhabitants of this world were tainted by darkness, even if it was something as small as pride. Tephrael however kept his features coolly smoothed over before he returned, "My apologies if I did not make it clearer earlier. It's a message for the Clan--but I assume I should speak of it with your leader first to make sure the material is appropriate enough to be delivered to LithiumClan."

His tail twitched slightly and his eyes narrowed as the sudden creature loomed out to stand by the other LithiumClanner. What was this monstrosity? Would the Light have deigned to illuminate this form itself, or was this a creature of the shadows? Tephrael lifted his head slightly as he regarded Titan with a thinly veiled amount of caution.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
Tephrael's ear twitched as he noted the arrivals of two others. The angelihund turned his head slightly and his attention immediately went to Dylan, the leader of the group. Lifting his chin slightly in his upright, imperial manner, the knight offered, "Greetings, Dylan. I am Tephrael, of Sanctum, the Kingdom of Light, and I have been sent here to LithiumClan to spread the goodness of the Light to those here."

He paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts--the Grandmaster wanted specific things to be said, after all. "Sanctum is staunchly against all bad and evil acts in the world and wishes to crusade against the Dark by spreading our faith through the land. With your permission, perhaps I could speak to your Clan about our faith?"

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
Tephrael was pleased that the leader had agreed to his request. The Grandmaster would be pleased--he would not fail him. The angelihund offered a thin-lipped smile. "Perhaps I could talk during your next meeting, Sir Dylan?" the white creature queried, raising a brow. That would be the best place to talk--since he would reach the largest audience there.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]An ear twitched at the sound of the scoff and Tephrael turned his head to regard that hulking....thing. "It's a shame that guest rights are not honored through the lands anymore," he remarked dryly, before returning his gaze towards Dylan.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
Tephrael was of the same thought as Isaias. Opening the borders meant letting the flood of Darkness into their little community. He was of the opinion that all newcomers should head to a checkpoint to be screened for dark intentions before being let into the kingdom, but the Grandmaster was the voice of Light and the Light was to be obeyed.

Charity and hospitality towards guests. The white creature approached the scene quietly, giving the newcomer a small nod of greeting. Isaias had answered the question and Tephrael saw no reason to repeat what had been said. He merely just offered a curt, "Hello."

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]The white angelihund had been given another task by the Grandmaster and here he was to fulfill it. Bring the Light to HawkClan, he was told. Judging from the scorn he saw from a few Clanners from the place he went to previously, he doubted that this place would welcome him either, but the Grandmaster's will was the voice of Light, and he had devoted his life to the Light.

The Light had a reason for him to be here, out spreading the goodness and warmth into the Darkness. He could only trust it. Tephrael padded over to the borders and glanced around, waiting for someone to come and approach him.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]To have a kit approach him--he wondered how well these HawkClanners took care of their children if they let their young ones wander around like this. No wonder they were all growing up to be murderers, bandits, rapists... if they were given such a free hand with little moral guidance by adults, it was no wonder that even in the supposedly upright Clans, Darkness still existed. Children were the future--they carried the torch of Light with them. The Sanctum made sure to keep a close eye on their young ones...

It didn't seem like the HawkClanners took good care of this kit, judging by the injury to its face.

The greeting also took him offguard. He had never encountered the word yo or homie before. And the question baffled him. What's up? What is up? The angelihund narrowed his pale eyes slightly before he tilted his head. "Excuse me?" Was this some kind of joke? Tephrael felt a little bit slighted with someone babbling nonsensical things at him. His long tail twitched with irritation.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
A joiner? The angelihund blinked his eyes slightly as he regarded this...Emilia. "Do you swear to uphold the Light and its goodness?" Tephrael queried, raising a brow. When the Grandmaster announced that they were to allow joiners through the borders after years of isolation, the white creature was unhappy with the decision, but he had told himself to follow whatever the Grandmaster ordered, for he was the voice of Light and the Light must have reason to allow the rabble in. Perhaps it was to test them...

// when it was late af and you typed the thread title wrong lmao...i'm going to leave it there because i'm too lazy to change

At the sound of anothers' approach, the angelihund raised his head, his pale eyes seeking out the source of the noise. It didn't take him too long to spot the fluid form of a wildcat slipping out of the trees, a cougar, was that it? Wearing armor. Sanctum had its smiths who crafted armor for their knights, but it was rare for the angelihund to see armor being used outside in the world. Granted, he hadn't encountered many armor-wearing creatures yet and Ichigo was one of the first.

He ruffled his wings, adjusting the four remaining ones he had against his side to self-consciously hide the charred stumps of the two missing ones. Most people didn't notice, but there were always some observant creature who might notice the blackened scars underneath his ash-stained feathers. Do not be so absorbed in appearance, because the Light is on the inside. An ear twitched as the words came into his mind and he reprimanded himself for his self-indulgence.

She's asking what do you need and who are you. Just shortened down. Tephrael took a second or two to digest the words quickly, wondering if this was still a joke...but because he had business for the Grandmaster, he was going to deliver it, no matter what. "Greetings, HawkClanners. I am Tephrael, a Knight of Sanctum, and I would like to speak with your leader," the angelihund answered, lifting his chin in his usual proud manner.

LithiumClan seemed to have greeted his offer with less enthusiasm than he had thought, even a little bit of scorn from a member or two, so he hoped that perhaps his reception here in HawkClan was better, because he wanted to accomplish what the Grandmaster had told him to do after all. Nothing was worse than returning back home with the taste of disappointment acrid on his tongue.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
He preferred the cold to the heat for some reason. He wasn't sure why, but he supposed it had something to do with the acrid stench of smoke that seemed to be always in his nostrils. Smoke was created by fire and fire was heat.

Luckily, his thick mane generally kept him warm and if he wanted to be warmer, he could fold his wings down around him, though that had the risk of exposing his injuries. The pale creature appeared out of the snow like a vision, standing by his ward as he regarded Amatus curiously. Another newcomer to Sanctum. He might be warming up to these newcomers right now, despite his disagreement with the policy--they had caused no trouble...yet.

But it was only a matter of time. If bad things could happen, they would happen. Tephrael just wanted to be prepared when it did. The angelihund raised his chin slightly, regarding the serval with quiet interest as he waited for Amatus to answer Siegfried.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]Tephrael blinked his pale eyes, watching Emilia for hesitation. Words were easy to say, but did the actions reflect that philosophy? That was what Tephrael thought about the Grandmaster's border policy, but his was the will of Light and the Light had to be obeyed. He'd resigned himself.

Allowing a smile to come across his features, the angelihund gave Emilia a nod of his head. "Welcome to Sanctum, Emilia. My name is Tephrael," he introduced himself courteously. To serve the Grandmaster was to serve the Light, so he was tied to the Grandmaster's every whim. Including the border policy. "Would you like a tour and some place to rest?"

    [fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]// DarkClan, under Lancelot? I played Coriolanus....but I've seen Amatus everywhere :0

Tephrael's eyes narrowed slightly. Looking for shelter? Hospitality should be shown to guests, but if they were looking just to leech off them... There was a small wrinkle on his snout but he remembered the Grandmaster's edict. Everyone was to be welcomed as long as they were willing to honor the Light. And the Grandmaster was the voice of the Light.

His ward was handling the situation quite well and the angelihund dipped his head towards the young canine, indicating his approval for the proceedings. Fidelitas was doing well--Tephrael was proud of the way he had raised the child. As the boy postured the question towards the serval, he returned his gaze towards Amatus, coolly waiting for a response.

A brow cocked slightly as Amatus professed ignorance towards the Light. Nostrils flaring, the angelihund raised his head. "The Light is the truth, the way to live a good life. Sanctum is a just and right community and does not tolerate acts that harm another, though we will not hesitate to defend against those who would wish us harm." Tephrael blinked slightly, eyeing the serval. He looked like a warrior who knew his way around the battlefield, but his main concern was whether if Amatus was one of those just defenders or a corsair, looking out for his own interests, like those of the antiClans.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]// will i ever earn the r's forgiveness

So this one was the leader? Tephrael wouldn't have thought that he was the leader from appearances. The armor that the cougar wore looked old--a leader would surely get something better? Or have it repaired? The Grandmaster was a neat and fastidious creature, as were the other Grandmasters he had served under, and this leader did not resemble them in the slightest. But how shallow was he! Do not be so absorbed in appearance, because the Light is on the inside. He repeated the mantra to himself and looked over the cougar again quietly. Yes, perhaps he might be leader in truth--there was a well-worn aura of respect that wrapped around his form like a mantle. The angelihund gave a curt nod of respect towards Ichigo.

"My pleasure to meet you," the pale creature returned towards the HawkClan leader. Now that the leader was there, it was time to begin his proposition. From his last experience, though the leader was nice enough to agree to his suggestion, other members of the group treated him with general scorn and suspicion. Tephrael was not there with the explicit goal of converting them to the faith; he just wanted to talk to them about how they could be good in life and make their existence meaningful, instead of just grubbing around in the dark with aimlessness.

He wasn't too surprised that the HawkClanner had not heard of the kingdom of Light. Tephrael decided that he could tie the explanation of his group into his business here. "For the past few decades, Sanctum has maintained an isolationist policy and did not interfere with the larger world. However, due to concerning developments with the promotion of murder, rape, tortures, and other such acts in the same category by antiClans, our Grandmaster believed it of paramount importance to spread the teachings of being good again into the world."

The angelihund paused for a moment, as if to give the HawkClanners a moment to absorb his message before he continued, "I was sent here by the Grandmaster to talk with HawkClan about this issue and how we could improve it." He learned from his previous encounter in LithiumClan that speaking of the preaching of the Light was a bad way to introduce himself--they had thought him an insane fanatic to be scorned. He would not repeat that mistake here.
